A meeting of the Public Council was held at the State assets management agency

On August 27 this year, a meeting of the Public Council was held at the State Assets Management Agency. The event was attended by the chairman of the Public Council, head of the Yuksalish National Movement Bobur Bekmurodov, heads of UzSAMA, responsible employees, as well as heads of territorial and structural divisions.

The meeting discussed digitalization processes, transparency issues, and ongoing reforms in the management and privatization of state property.

It was noted that, as part of the systemic reforms being carried out under the leadership of our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, practical work is underway to reduce state participation. At the same time, it was emphasized that the legal framework for the implementation of these reforms had been significantly strengthened: the adoption of the Laws “On the Management of State Property” and “On the Privatization of State Property” was a historic step for our country.

The Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy sets the goal of increasing the share of the non-state sector in the economy to 85% and reducing the number of state-owned enterprises sixfold. To this end, state assets worth 47 trillion soums have been privatized over the past four years, which is almost 30 times more than in the previous decade. In addition, it is planned to bring the volume of privatization in the current year to 30 trillion soums and ensure revenues to the state budget in the amount of 10 trillion soums.

The meeting highlighted the importance of the Public Council's activities. According to Bobur Bekmurzhodov, the Council acts as a “bridge” ensuring effective interaction between UzSAMA and society.

Digitalization and increased transparency

Information was presented on the work done by UzSAMA on digitalization and ensuring transparency in the industry. According to the results of the first half of 2025, the Agency ranked second among 91 state organizations, scoring 95.5 points in the digital transformation rating.

In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on the introduction of the automated information system “Yerxususiylashtirish”. Due to this system, citizens and organizations can remotely privatize their land plots by submitting applications through the my.gov.uz portal or Public Service Centers, as well as receive all documents online with confirmation via a QR code. All processes are fully digitized, which minimizes the human factor.

Privatization results

The main results and indicators in the field of privatization of state property were highlighted separately.

For the current year to date:

  • Assets put up for auction: 25.9 trillion soums;
  • Privatization volume: 19.3 trillion soums;
  • Revenue as of the current date: 6 trillion soums;
  • Auctions are continuing for 3,491 assets with an initial value of 13.5 trillion soums;
  • Business entities have been granted benefits amounting to 171.3 billion soums.

At the end of the meeting, the council members discussed priority areas and a draft work plan for the future, and received answers to their questions.

The Public Council gave a positive assessment of the measures being implemented within UzSAMA system and emphasized that, as part of its activities, it would provide practical assistance in ensuring the openness, transparency, and accountability of the Agency.
